Description
Each spring the club hosts a free annual Children’s Fishing Derby, supported by funding from the club and donations from area businesses and individual members. This event is open to all children up to the age of 14. Refreshments are provided, gifts are given to all children who attend, and a prize drawing and a raffle are held at the end of the derby. Hundreds of children attend each year and prizes are awarded for many things including the biggest and smallest fish.
The Derby operates as follows:
- Registration begins at 7:30 AM
- Fishing from 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM
- Prizes awarded at 11:00 AM
Raffle tickets will be available the day of the Derby. Suggested donation is $5 per ticket, or $20 for 5 tickets.
There will be four cash Raffle prizes of $250.00 each. You do not need to be present at the raffle drawing to win.
