Description
The Public Health Museum, located in the Old Administration Building of Tewksbury Hospital, is dedicated to sharing the history of public health. It includes permanent and temporary exhibits focused on public health in the past, including antique medical equipment and paraphernalia. Current exhibits include the history of treating infectious diseases such as polio; treatments and practices for mental health disorders; and the history of nursing.
The museum is currently open for scheduled one-hour tours with reservations in advance; limited to three visitors per tour. Admission is cash (exact change) per person.
