Description
The Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival celebrates the varied cultures and traditions of Khmer, Thai, Laotian, Burmese and other Southeast Asian communities. The Festival includes competitive boat races in traditional long boats, music and dance, authentic food, crafts and more. The boats will be blessed by Buddhist monks, and traditional blessing dances with elaborate costumes and intricate choreography will be performed. Boat races continue all day.
