The Bedford Montessori School curriculum is based on the philosophy and work of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our certified Montessori teaching staff guide children with care through the different curriculum areas in each of our classrooms. Children work at their own pace and at their individual level of ability in all areas and learn to participate as members of a larger community. Our classrooms are designed to encourage active exploration and self-education with age appropriate activities, child-size furniture and access to our outdoor play areas.
At all levels within our school, children are given the opportunities to develop a sense of order, an ability to concentrate, and the coordination to work with a range of activities with increased skill. The children learn independence, develop a positive self-image and problem solving skills and also, importantly, learn how to ask questions. Each child at Bedford Montessori School follows an individualized developmentally appropriate learning plan based on interest and ability which helps us track and plan their progress. Yoga, music & movement and Spanish classes also form part of our school curriculum. Our goal is to work with and empower your children to be the best that they can be .

Business Review
"Bedford Montessori is a top-rate school where children learn far more than academics in a warm, peaceful environment. The teachers allow the children to direct their own learning, while providing enough guidance to ensure that they have a well-rounded education. After attending Bedford Montessori through Kindergarten, my son and daughter entered public school at an advanced academic level and with a genuine enjoyment of learning, the skills to advocate for themselves, the ability to work well independently and with other children, and friendships that they maintain years later." ~ Donna W., Bedford Montessori parent from September 2013 - June 2018
“It’s been such a wonderful experience being a part of the Bedford Montessori community and we are so grateful for all you have done to make us feel so welcome. Our daughter has grown so beautifully in your school and we are so thankful for your guidance and support” ~ M.W. 2018
