Our first visit to Armory Park was a fun one! Located in Lowell, the park features a playground, a splash pad, and plenty of green space to picnic or hang out in the shade.
There are benches and a picnic table as well, and the park is ADA accessible.
The splash pad is fairly new and is simple yet fun. There are only a few sprinklers, and only one worked on the day we went, but my kids still enjoyed it.
There are three baby swings and one regular swing. There are two play structures; one for younger kids and one for older kids. While there’s shade under the trees surrounding the park, the playground itself is directly in the sun, so the slides were pretty hot on the day we went.
There is a community garden here as well, which is fenced off from the playground. The playground itself is not fenced in, but it is not super close to the busy street.
Overall it is a really nice park, perfect for a summer day - playing, picnicking, and cooling off in the sprinkler!
