At first glance, you might not think much of Olga Nieves Playground due to the initial appearance, such as spray paint on the slides and some general wear and tear on the park equipment. However, these few small flaws don’t take away from all the fun the park provides.
Located in The Acre section of Lowell, Olga Nieves Playground features three slides, one of which is steep and fast. That was my kids’ favorite part. The slides are metal so take caution on hotter days. There is also a ride on dinosaur for little ones, which my son loved!
The playground also consists of monkey bars and spiral bars to climb.
At the entrance to the park there is a large sign to teach kids words in different languages. I highly encourage you to take advantage of small learning experiences like this to teach kids new things while also experiencing play time.
On the pavement, there is a painted four square game and some space to play or ride scooters and such. The park is easily accessible and there is on-street parking. There are a couple of benches and a little bit of shade.
This is a really nice little park that is worth stopping by for, especially for the slides!
