Make your voice heard about the planned playground in Durkin Park!
The City of Lowell and CBA Landscape Architects are looking for feedback on what everyone wants to see at Durkin Park, located at 294 Chelmsford St., behind Lincoln Elementary School. The survey is open until Sunday, August 18, and will take about 5 minutes to complete. Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Khmer, and Swahili.
The Durkin Park playground project includes:
- Demolition of existing playground and basketball court
- Installation of half-size baskeball court
- Installation of expanded, universally-accessible playground with poured-in-place rubber surface
- Installation of an ADA-compliant ramp to the community garden/outdoor classroom
- Installation of additional trees, landscaping, and site amenities (benches, picnic tables, trash cans, bike racks, signage, shade structures etc). as project budget allows
