Hot Tamale Brass Band & The Yo-Yo Guy the Free Fun for Kids Shows

Enjoy these FREE shows in Lowell on Wednesday July 12 and Thursday July 13

On Wednesday and Thursday mornings from July 12 to August 17, the Lowell Summer Music Series presents the Free Fun for Kids shows at Boarding House Park, 40 French St, in Lowell. 

Beginning at 10 AM, every show includes free arts & crafts by Lowell National Historical Park, free healthy snacks and free books from Project LEARN. The free stage performance begins at 11 AM.

On Wednesday July 12th, enjoy a free show by Hot Tamale Brass Band!


Since its inception in 1992, the Hot Tamale Brass Band has led the way in Boston for energetic, fun New Orleans Jazz, Dixieland
and Second Line Music. They have performed at Mardi Gras, Boston First Night, the Honk! Festival, and over 800 times at Red
Sox games at Fenway Park. They have appeared on Sesame Street. Get ready for a Kids Mardi Gras Parade! Back by popular
demand!


On Thursday July 13th, enjoy a free show by The Yo-Yo Guy!



John Higby is The Yo-Yo Guy! He has performed his unique high-energy comedy yo-yo show in 26 countries from New Zealand
to Japan, holds the world yo-yo champion title and 4 Guinness World Records. The Yo-Yo Guy is an interactive performance
with yo-yos, unicycle, and a giant yo-yo that John walks on! Specializing in family shows, this show is great for all ages!



Location Details:

Use "75 John St, Lowell" on your GPS to go right to the parking garage that's across the street from Boarding House Park. Parking is available at Early Garage, 135 Middlesex Street, Lowell MA 01852. There is free parking with validation (do not park on the first floor which requires advance payment).

If rain or excessive heat is likely on any of the show days, the snacks and performance will be relocated to an indoor "rain location".  A message will be posted by 9:30 AM on the day of the show on the Lowell Summer Music Series website and on the info line 978-970-5200 with the details of any weather-related relocation.
