School Closing Daily Schedule -- Download our PDF

By Barbara Evangelista, Publisher March 13, 2020

Welcome to our new reality -- most likely, the kids are home from school in your town for at least the next two weeks.  We're still learning how the schools plan to handle the closures but I'm expecting that my town's school department will make full use of online resources to share homework assignments and stream video lessons.

My kids seem to think it's a vacation though.  They're teens and will happily spend the whole day watching YouTube videos and movies on their school-supplied Chromebooks.  Not happening on my watch.  We definitely need a daily schedule to keep them focused and productive so that they've made academic progress when school resumes.  Plus, as a work-from-home mom focused on sharing news, ideas and activities with thousands of fellow parents, I NEED my three kids to have a consistent daily routine.

The schedule below should work for most kids age 6 and up.  Little ones will need some adjustments -- less school time, more play time.
