Last week to nominate your favorite local businesses!
Lowell Macaroni is on a quest to find the places families love in Greater Lowell! Our Gold Daisy Awards start with YOU. Who do parents turn to when they want to find the best places for their kids, the best doctors, or the best plumber? Other parents! Here's your chance to nominate all the local businesses that you love, where your family is welcomed and treated well, where your kids have a blast, where you always find what you need, or who come to your home and deliver amazing service.
What Do I Do?
Just fill out and submit our nomination form between now and January 22. Nominate businesses in as many or as few categories as you would like. Don't know any businesses in a certain category? Just skip that category and fill out the ones that you know.

What Do I Get?
We will randomly select four winners from the nomination forms and votes; each winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to the local business of their choice. Plus, when our winners are announced, you get a list of GREAT local businesses that parents love!
How Do I Let My Favorite Local Business Know That I'm Supporting Them?
Use the pink "f" button at the top of this article to share the article on Facebook. Feel free to add a comment to say which businesses you nominated and even tag them. You can also tweet the article if you're a Twitter fan.
What's the Next Step?
Nominations will close on January 22. On January 24, we'll publish the top businesses in each category, and you can cast your vote for your favorites. Winning businesses will be announced February 14!
What's In It For the Businesses?
The winning business in each category will receive a free listing in our Business Directory, a Lowell Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Awards certificate and window cling to display at their place of business, and that wonderful feeling knowing that local families think they're the greatest!

A Few Rules
OK, you knew there had to be some...
- Only one nomination form per email address.
- Only businesses in Lowell, Billerica, Tewksbury, Dracut, Chelmsford, Westford, Littleton, Groton, Tyngsboro or Dunstable are eligible for this contest. We know there are many wonderful family-friendly businesses in surrounding towns but our covered area only includes the towns listed above. Nominated businesses in ineligible towns will be removed from consideration.
- You must be a Lowell Macaroni Kid subscriber to nominate businesses and/or vote. If you're not already a subscriber, we'll add you to the subscription list for our FREE weekly email newsletter listing local events and resources for families. You can unsubscribe at any time but we hope you'll stay and check it out for a while!
- We do check the email addresses on nomination forms and votes and have systems to flag potential spam nominations/votes. We reserve the right to delete nominations or votes that are deemed to be invalid or intended to interfere with the fair administration of this contest. Please do not attempt to register fake nominations or votes; let's play nice!
