Forget Me Not Photography with Crystal Gonsalves

There are two myths ascribed to the Forget Me Not flower. One is of an unnamed flower who cried out to God, “Forget me not, Lord!” The other tale is of a knight who collected flowers for his sweetheart, but because of the weight of his armor fell into a river and in his death, flung the petite blue flowers at his love and cried out, “Forget me not!”

A photograph laments, “Forget me not!” A camera is an instrument to see, to remember, to capture what seems to be lost. “We take photos as a return tickets to a moment otherwise gone.” (Artifact Uprising). A photograph is a memento; a time capsule of a memory or a relationship, of a ring of promise, the dimples of a baby’s hand, the uncontrollable giggles of sisters.

Famous photographer Dorothea Lange affirmed, “Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.” Though life doesn’t stand still, Forget Me Not Photography captures your everyday epic, a tangible reminder of your fleeting moments.

To me, life is art and Forget Me Not Photography is the perfect palette to paint life’s pictures. Forget Me Not Photography specializes in lifestyle, in-home, maternity, family, children, graduating seniors, newborn, portrait, and engagement/ couples photography and has been established for two years. Sessions currently cost $200 and which includes a USB of edited photos.

My style is warm, emotive, and relational. Before a session is established, I invest in a relationship with my clients through emails, phone calls, and a questionnaire on my website, that guides me in understanding their interests, their family, and their personal style of photography.
