Scullin Park in Lowell is a small but high-energy spot. My kids and I stopped by recently for the first time, and we found it to be a fun change from what most parks offer.
Though there are just a handful of play structures, they kept my kids busy for a while. This park is perfect for older, more coordinated kiddos, as there isn’t much for younger ones to do here.
The park is well-designed and stands out for its unique, bright play structures that focus on climbing. There’s a double arched climber plus another climbing structure we had not seen before, but a favorite was the climbing wall. There are swings here as well, but there aren’t any slides.
It’s located in a residential neighborhood and is fully fenced in. There is a decent amount of green space, plus some benches. The ground is covered in mulch, and while there was a small amount of litter during our visit, it wasn’t bad enough to take away from the experience. All the equipment was clean and in good condition.
This is a great little spot for some active fun, especially if you have kiddos who like to climb. My kids really enjoyed it here, and the large green space was an added bonus for us to play in after our time at the playground.
