The Peter Pan Center, located at 60 Willow Road in Ayer, has been providing programming for children since 2002 and has been earned the Boston Parent’s Paper Family Favorites award for three years running. The Center’s programs are open to all children and provide a layer of social support for those children who might need a little help with making and keeping friends.
The Peter Pan Center is offering an “Indoor Kids” summer program option for those kids that love activities such as Minecraft, Legos, Nerf, Gaming, Cooking, Craft, Technology and more. While we are indoors, we have a large recess room for games that get kids moving. We are also partnered with the Marcus Lewis Day Camp to provide two weeks of split programming between Peter Pan and Marcus Lewis for the best of both indoor and outdoor opportunities for fun.
The Peter Pan Center provides some of the most flexible summer programming around. We are offering a total of six weeks this summer. Parents can choose full day, half day (mornings or afternoon) and even a by-the-day option to accommodate busy family schedules.
The program’s director, Donna Shea, has a B.A. in Behavioral Science and is co-author of the How to Make & Keep Friends book series. Donna is certified in bullying prevention and has been social coaching children for over twelve years.

Our summer program is open to children ages 7-12 and will be limited to 12 participants. Our programs are not special-needs specific although children that do have profiles of ADHD, anxiety and other needs for social communication support do well in our programs because support is provided.
