Eight Great Local April Vacation Programs

No plans for a sunny vacation during this April school vacation?  Here are some great programs to keep the kids busy and entertained for the week:

Guard Up in Burlington offers full-day Foam Sword and NERF Educational Adventures during April vacation.  See their website to learn more about the Sword Adventure program and NERF Adventure program, both running Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM (extended day option available). Programs are for children age 6 and up.  

The Peter Pan Center in Ayer offers fun programs that are focused on helping tweens and teens create social connections, make new friends, and practice social learning.  Their April Vacation program runs Tuesday to Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Parents can choose a single day, all three mornings, all three afternoons, or three full days. Program activities include LEGOs, ninja training, Dungeons & Dragons, cooking lessons, crafts, NERF, book clubs, games, chess, and more, all supervised and supported by trained leaders who help participants practice social skills.  Learn more and register.

Minuteman Community Education in Lexington offers a wide variety of fun April vacation programs for children in grades 1 through 8.  Programs run from Tuesday 4/21 to Friday 4/24, and students can attend morning, afternoon or full-day sessions. Hand-on classes include art, cooking, baking, metal welding, creative writing, and science.  Learn more and register.

Magic Brush Pottery in Tewksbury offers drop-in pottery-painting and fused glass. Spend a morning being creative, or make a gift for Mother’s or Father’s Day! One Stop Fun in Westford offers fun and safe April vacation programs for kids of all ages!  The April vacation program runs Monday 4/20 to Friday 4/24 from 9 AM to 4:30 PM with extended day options available. Activities include gymnastics, visits to the Indoor Playground and Rock Wall, arts and crafts, zipline, foam pit and more.  Register for one day, several days or the full week. Register at least 10 days in advance and save 5%. Learn more and register.

Tyngsboro Sports Center offers vacation camps during both Massachusetts vacation week (4/20-24) and New Hampshire vacation week (4/27-5/1). Camps include the Challenger Soccer Clinic for age 6-12, Indoor MultiSports Adventures for age 4.5 to 13, and the TSX Baseball Clinic for experienced players age 7-12.  The Challenger Soccer Clinic is offered as a half-day or full-day option for the full week.  The Indoor MultiSports Adventure provides instruction and play in flag football, soccer, lacrosse, floor hockey, capture the flag and more. Children can participate by the half or full day, for one day, several days or the full week. Extended day care options are available. The TSX Baseball Clinic is only offered during the afternoon, by the day or for the full week. Learn more and register.

Camp Thoreau in Concord offers the Camp S’More Vacation Camp from Tuesday 4/21 to Friday 4/24 for children age 4-9.  Camp runs from 9 AM to 1 PM (extended day option available) and includes outdoor excursions, scavenger hunts, nature crafts, games, indoor swimming and indoor tennis. The Kids League of Westford offers a full-week April vacation program for children age 5 to 11.  The program runs from 7 AM to 6 PM Monday 4/20 to Friday 4/24 and children can attend one day, several days, or for the full week.  The April Vacation program includes Patriot’s Day celebrations, Invention Convention, a visit from Animal Adventures, Kids City, and a Talent Show.
