Harvest Festival is a day dedicated to celebrating Lowell’s local food system and welcoming in the Fall season. Co-Directors Lydia Sisson and Francey Slater invite the public to taste the flavors of the season with neighbors and friends. This FREE event will include many fun activities including apple cider pressing, harvest soup, seasonal crafts, healthy cooking demonstrations, local food vendors, a farmers’ market, community garden tours, family friendly games, and the chance to win raffle prizes.

“Harvest Festival is a wonderful event that brings the community together to celebrate all of the hard work of the season,” says Co-Director Francey Slater, “Mill City Grows’ gardeners and volunteers are growing over 18,000 pounds of food in the city of Lowell this year, and we are so inspired by them every day!  Harvest Festival lets us shine a light on this incredible work that so many residents, organizations, and community partners make happen!”
