Last week, I had a great time meeting a group of local Macaroni Kid parents and their children at Lowell Macaroni Kid's Back to School Party, which was supported by National Macaroni Kid and several national sponsors. Ā Party guests jumped right into the swing of things, checking out the sponsor products in the back room, enjoying a catered spread from Feasttivities Catering, and posing for fun photos at the photo booth provided by Kerry Gibson from EKG Photography.
BB Kidz Klub in Westford provided a perfect location, with tons for the kids to do: bouncy structures, a climbing structure, Legos, an infant/toddler area, ball pit, air hockey table, basketball game and more. Ā Lots of comfortable couches and a party room with coffee and tables meant that Macaroni Kid parents could easily watch the kids, meet and chat. Ā

Feasttivities Catering provided a wonderful spread in the party room, including fruit & cheese skewers, black bean & corn salsa with tortilla chips, chicken Waldorf salad in phyllo cups, pesto bruschetta, vegetables with a delicious bacon dip, fruit salad, and adorable apples decorated as ladybugs.
Guests loved the treats made with CandiQuik chocolate & vanilla coating (both very easy and quick -- S'More Pops and Oreo Truffles) and enjoyed the Half-Time packaged lunches from Applegate and Balance Bar samples. Ā Kids cut out and played with the flash cards from Brother CreativeCenter and used the laptop to check out all of the other paper crafts, games, coloring pages and party kits available for printing and customizing on CreativeCenter.
The kids loved the Spiketus backpack from MadPax -- so fun and really different! The Cow Cents game from Simply Fun got lots of attention, and several kids tried the alternaVites vitamins and gave them a thumbs up. Ā Stride Rite shoes were definitely a favorite with the moms.
Although Lowell Macaroni Kid participates in lots of large, local community events, these nationally-sponsored parties are a great way to meet a smaller group of local parents and share information on new and interesting products as well as lots of fun giveaways.
