Greenwood Christmas Tree Farm is run by a local extended family with young children, and they understand the magic of the Christmas season. Throughout the year, they carefully tend their trees and maintain the fields for easy walking. Starting in the fall, their talented artists create all kinds of wreaths and festive greenery, including mantle covers, kissing balls and centerpieces.
In additional to beautiful trees out in the fields, you'll also find over 500 fresh cut trees just delivered from their fields in upstate New York, including many that are over 9 feet tall. Enjoy Christmas music while you're out in the fields, and free hot cider while you search for the perfect tree or wreath!
Be sure to visit the Christmas Tree shop. You'll find a large variety of Christmas ornaments, beeswax candles, warm apple cider donuts, holiday jewelry, and handmade items from local artisans. Don't forget a tree stand or hanger for your wreath!
The owners of Greenwood Christmas Tree Farm have also been in the beekeeping business for over 50 years. Their bees work to pollinate the local orchard that supplies the cider at the Tree Farm! While you're there, taste some of their varietal honeys.
The kids will love the new petting area with goats and chickens!
Greenwood Christmas Tree Farm opens for the season on Saturday, November 28. Their hours are Tuesday through Fridays 12-4 PM and Saturdays & Sundays 9 AM-4:30 PM until Christmas. They are closed on Mondays.
Please note, the farm accepts only cash and checks (an ATM is available nearby). Cut-your-own trees are $65 plus tax for any tree, and pre-cut trees begin at $45 (plus tax). Trees as tall as 15 feet and as small as 3 feet are available.
The farm will provide a saw, twine and tree wrap, and they're happy to help you saw, haul and secure your tree. No chainsaws, please. They suggest bringing along an old blanket if you plan to put your tree on your car roof, since the trees can scratch.
