Ayer -- July 4
Ayer has a day-long celebration on Saturday July 4th, starting with a parade downtown at 3:00 (leaving from St. Mary’s Church), children’s activities, vendors and food from 4-9 PM at Pirone Park, 17 School St, Ayer, and fireworks at dusk (approximately 9-9:30 PM) at Pirone Park. The rain date is Sunday July 5th.
Children may participate in a bike-decorating contest. Bikes enter the parade at the Rail Trail and ride down to Pirone Park for judging. Children are encouraged to decorate bikes, wagons, scooters, or any other wheeled vehicles. Trophies are awarded for each category: Age 6 and under, Age 7-8, Age 9-10, Age 11 and up, Multi-Wheels All Ages. Children should be in line in the Rail Trail Parking lot by 2 PM. Every child must wear a helmet, and children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

Chelmsford -- July 3-4
While there won't be fireworks, Chelmsford will have their annual Country Fair on Friday, July 3, from 5-11 PM and Saturday, July 4, from 8 AM-3 PM. The Chelmsford Community Band will perform at 7 PM on Friday.
The renowned Chelmsford July 4th Parade kicks off at 10 AM on July 4, proceeding from McCarthy Middle School near the Drum Hill rotary on Rt. 4, down North Rd (Rt. 4) and through the center of town, ending at Summer Street. Residents begin putting their chairs out along the route as much as a week beforehand (although the town has officially asked residents to wait until July 2nd). While the sidewalks in the center of town will probably be full, there are usually plenty of shady spots left along North Road. Parking is available in the lot on Summer Street, the Boston Rd lot across from the library, and in the library lot at 25 Boston Rd, or you can park in the lots at the baseball fields on 110 (near Papa Ginos) and walk over to North Road via Fletcher St. There is also parking at St. Mary's Church on the corner of Fletcher St and North Rd, or in the business lots on Fletcher St.
Dracut -- July 2
There will be a concert from 7-9 PM and fireworks at approximately 9 PM on Thursday, July 2, at the Dracut School Complex on Lakeview Ave. Food and souvenirs available for purchase.
Groton -- July 6
The annual Groton concert and fireworks will take place on Monday, July 6, starting at 6 PM (fireworks will start around 9-9:30 PM). Bring a blanket and find a spot at the Town Field behind the library at 99 Main St (parking is available across Main St). There will be food available for purchase from the Groton Firefighters Association and other vendors. Rain date 7/7.
Lowell -- July 4
A 4th of July celebration and fireworks will take place at LeLacheur Park (home of the Lowell Spinners), 450 Aiken St. on Saturday, July 4. The doors at LeLacheur Park open at 7 PM with free admission and seating for over 5000; parking is available in the garage. There will be live music, face painting, balloon artists, and magicians, Swampland activities, and train rides on the infield. Live music from 7:30-9 PM. Food will be available for purchase (note that no outside food or beverages will be allowed in the park). Fireworks begin at 9 PM.
Pepperell -- July 4
The annual July 4th festivities in Pepperell take place on Saturday, July 4, starting with a parade at 12:30 PM. Fireworks will begin at dusk at the Town Fields behind the Community Center (2 Hollis St).
Tewksbury -- July 5th
Tewksbury is planning a day of fun family activities, a concert and fireworks for Sunday, July 5th, all at the Livingston Street recreational area. Morning activities begin at 8:30 AM with a breakfast at the Recreation Center at 286 Livingston St, followed by family activities including a bicycle decorating contest, basketball hoop shoot, sack races, pie eating contest and more at the Livingston Street Playground, ending at 1 PM. There will be a concert at 7 PM, followed by fireworks at 9:30 PM.
